Terms of Service

Last updated 2 September 2026

These terms cover the Citolume plugin and the hosted service at api.citolume.com, made by Havoric. Plain language on purpose.

What the service does — and what it cannot promise

Citolume checks whether AI engines cite or mention your site when your tracked questions are asked, and shows you who is cited instead. We measure through the engines’ APIs, which are not the same retrieval stack as the consumer ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini apps — a strong proxy, not the same thing. Answers vary from run to run, which is why we report frequency rather than a single yes or no.

We do not promise citations, rankings, or inclusion in AI answers, and we never will. Nobody can. What we promise is honest measurement.

Plans and billing

Fair use

Scans cost real money on our side, so they are rate-limited per plan. One free site per domain. Don’t probe, overload, or resell the service, and don’t register sites you do not control — registration verifies domain ownership, and that check is there on purpose.

Your data

What we collect and how long we keep it is in the privacy policy. Short version: your domain, your questions, your results — and you can export or delete all of it.

Liability

The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are a measurement tool; decisions you make from the measurements are yours.

Changes

If these terms change materially we will say so on this page, with the date above updated. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting it.
